Spring into Spring
作者: Stacey Heneveld

It has been a long and brutal winter and, as slow as it may be arriving, spring is being welcomed with open arms! Between those last few snow falls, April showers and wonderful sunny days, we’re sharing three fun and educational ways to help your family spring right in to spring!

1.Spring into Easter
Although spring technically started on March 20, Easter always feel like the unofficial kick-off to spring. From decorating Easter eggs to pictures with the Easter bunny, it is a great time to spend with friends and family!

This Easter, help curb those sugar-highs by filling kids’ baskets with fun, educational toys that will last far beyond those chocolate bunnies! Little learners will love finding the kid-friendly InnoTab 3S Learning Tablet in their basket alongside fun learning cartridges just right for their age group! With all their favorite characters like Sofia the First®, Mike and Sully from Monsters University®, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles®, the Bubble Guppies® and more, learning essential subjects has never been so much fun!

If your little one has a need for speed, give them an action-packed basket featuring VTech’s new Switch & Go Dinos Turbo and the Go! Go! Smart Wheels electronic vehicles and playsets! They will love cruising around the house with their new toys while working on their motor skill development!

2.Spring into cleaning
Feel refreshed and renewed this spring with a big Spring Clean! Encourage kids to join the cleaning fun by giving them their own bin to fill with items they have outgrown to donate. Giving away outgrown toys and clothes can be difficult for kids, so celebrate their efforts by treating them to a fun outing after dropping off your donations.

Spring is not only a great time for a deep cleaning, but it’s also a great time to refresh their toys. For example, a new download from our Learning Lodge library or a new learning cartridge can help spring them into that next learning level!

3.Spring into outdoor family time
There is truly no better way to “Spring into Spring” than to be outside experiencing it! Family hikes, walks through the park or playing in the backyard is a great way to take advantage of the warmer weather and take in some fresh air and exercise.

While outdoors, look for signs of spring – birds building nests, buds on trees, or flowers beginning to grow. Encourage kids to explore and investigate each time you go out. How are the trees changing? Do they notice anything new in the stream? Experiencing is a great way to learn!

Whether your family is decorating and hunting for eggs, cleaning out closets or trekking through the local trails, spring is a great season to refresh and renew! Spend some time this spring renewing and refreshing your family’s mind and spirit, along with your home.
